Two Moons
Two moons shone in the window
Of the bungalow
Reflection of a reflection
Laughter ringing giving
Protection and light
In the deep night
An American Indian sage
Stayed and prayed and
Word played
With me
Suddenly sisters
Lost and found
On the great plains
Routed and crowded out
Left to flounder
Escaped and replaced
Guardians of the land
Slapped by the hand of
Uncle Sam’s
Failure of command
Thievery and murderous
Treachery cannot be wiped
Clean
It is seen make a stand
Grasslands protected
Could make remands
Two hearts made as one
Renewed to continue
The path
The way to stay
And have something
To say
I did not expect
So much and
Surprise has taken me
Over and not to expect
More to keep my
Mind
In line
